Character Age Meme

What's that? Does anyone else smell character development, or is it just me? Original template here: [link]

Age 5: Isar isn't really old enough to understand how serious the Shalovirus is, nor how important it is that he may be immune to it. He lives a comparatively carefree life until the virus claims both his parents, after which he is thrown into a badly-managed orphanage.
Age 13: The Shalvorus Scanning Protocol comes into effect, and Isar fades into the background - just one more potentially-infected orphan with little value attached to his life. He is given a numbered tattoo to group him with people of the same age and species, and the virus mask in case he has not yet contracted Shalovirus. He lives in fear of his mask falling off.
Age 17: Isar and his guardians have, by now, realized he is immune, and because of his extremely high IQ, he is classified as a Doctor. He acquires his MedRat, Jarei. Isar is frequently dizzy and irritable because he is always drawing his own blood, desperate to extract a cure for the Shalovirus from it.
Age 25: Isar has lost all faith in his fellow Doctors due to their uncharitable and cold-hearted natures. He hides his eyes behind dark goggles and goes back to wearing the virus mask in order to associate himself more with the commoners than the Doctors. Jarei is now blind in one eye, having gotten into a nasty fight with another MedRat named Kuvo. She too has lost all faith in those who are supposed to heal. The two of them are now brusque and a bit short-tempered...but very likely, the planet's only hope.
